September Reception Admissions
Surrey County Council co-ordinates our admission for all applications to Reception children starting in September. To apply, please contact Surrey Admissions - https://www.surreycc.gov.uk/schools-and-learning/schools/school-admissions

In-Year admissions for Reception - Year 6 children
At St Mark and All Saints, we co-ordinate our own in-year admission arrangements. Therefore, if you would like your child to attend our school outside the normal admissions round (i.e. for requesting a place in Years R,3,7) ( you should apply directly to us. Information on how to apply is provided below. Please contact the school if you would like any of this information, including the application form/s, to be provided in a hard copy format.

In addition to the form/s, you should also provide evidence of your address. The following documents are permissible: Council Tax Bill, Signed Tenancy Agreement or Solicitor’s letter confirming completion of purchase AND one of the following – Recent Utility Bill, Benefits Statement, or Bank Statement.

If your child is new to the UK, please provide the date they arrived on pg.1 of the form and attach evidence of this. If your child is a British Citizen, please attach evidence of their passport, any visas, and relevant Home Office documentation.
Outcome of the application:

You will be notified of the outcome of your application within 10 schools days if possible, but 15 at the latest. If you application is unsuccessful, we will provide the reasons for refusal and the process for making an appeal.

We will notify the Local Authority of every application and outcome as soon as possible but within 2 working days at the latest.

Please note that your child cannot be placed onto a waiting list without making an application.
Appeals Process
St Mark and All Saints use the Surrey Admission Appeal process which can be found at the following address:
The following timetable applies and links for parents to appeal will show on the Surrey County Council website towards the end of February 2024:
Appellants will be sent notification of their appeal hearing at least 10 clear school days in advance of the hearing. Appellants will be sent a copy of the school's case 7 clear working days in advance of the hearing.
Appellants must ensure that any further evidence not included with their initial appeal, is received by 5pm on the day notified in the letter with details of the hearing. Any additional evidence or information received after this date might not be considered at the appeal hearing.
Procedure for admission to the Nursery
To apply for a place in the Nursery you must apply directly to the school using the Nursery Application Form (available from the school office). Children are admitted to the Nursery the term of their 3rd birthday.
Nursery - Universal Entitlement
St Mark and All Saints Church of England Nursery operate during term time only, offering sessions to three and four year olds totalling 15 hours per week. This means that children will be offered their universal entitlement over 5 morning, 5 afternoon, 2.5 days either at the beginning or end of the week. For a child entitled to an additional 15 hours per week, the school will ‑identify which session is the child’s universal and which session is the extended entitlement. Places for the additional 15 hours per week are limited and will be allocated in accordance with the admissions criteria set out below.
Nursery Free Early Education for Three Year Old Funding (FEET)
We admit children the term of their third birthday who meet the eligibility criteria to receive Free Early Education for three Year olds (FEET). Once children with FEET funding are placed on roll at nursery, they will be offered all 5 sessions totalling 15 hours. They will be automatically entitled to take up a three year old place in our 3-4s nursery the term after their third birthday. You can find out if you are eligible using the following link:

Nursery session times
We have capacity for 26 children in a session.
Attendance options are:

Mornings - Monday to Friday 9.00am - 12.00 noon

Afternoons - Monday - Friday 12.00pm - 3.00pm

2.5 days - All day Monday and Tuesday (9.00am - 3.00pm) and Wednesday morning (9.00am - 12.00noon)

2.5 days - Wednesday afternoon (12.00pm - 3.00pm) and all day Thursday and Friday (9.00am - 3.00pm).

Full-time - Monday to Friday 09.00am - 3.00pm
Nursery - Additional 15 hours
We offer an additional FREE 15 hours (equalling 30 hours in total) if both parents are working (or the sole parent is working in a lone parent family), and each parent meets the earnings criteria listed overleaf. To receive the additional 15 hours, parents will need to fill in the government portal through the HMRC website:

All nursery parents will be able to select one of the above options. If parents are eligible for the additional 15 hours FREE nursery provision they are able to select full time. Parents who do not meet the eligibility criteria are eligible for 15 hours FREE entitlement (options 2 -5 above); they can also pay for additional hours so that their child can attend full time.
Parents will need to reconfirm their eligibility every three months to continue claiming the 15 additional hours. If parents no longer meet the criteria they will not be able to claim the additional 15 hours FREE provision; however they will be given the option to pay for the sessions at the rate below.
