Pupil Premium
The Government gives additional funding money to schools to help children from lower income families do their very best. This funding is called a ‘Pupil Premium’.
St. Mark and All Saints receives an additional £1,385 during the school year for every child registered for the 'Pupil Premium' in Years R to 6, and £342 for pupils in Nursery. We also receive additional funding for children who have been 'looked after' by the local authority continuously for more than six months and a smaller amount to provide some additional support to children of service families.
Schools are free to spend the Pupil Premium in ways which they consider will enhance the education of the targeted children. At St. Mark and All Saints, this additional funding allows us to provide an even better education for your child so that they achieve as well as other children and can enjoy the same experiences.
If you qualify, your child/children can receive free school meals and reduced costs towards some after school activities or curriculum enrichment opportunities. If you are registered for Pupil Premium you may also get help with the cost of day trips and residential trips.
